We have been a proud member of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association for 10 years with the additional promotion of the curriculum throughout the area to various schools. Land & Co. also sponsors a Grand Rapids Public School Teacher to attend a week-long summer educational program at Mount Vernon as we did during the 2018 and 2019 year. The mission of the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association is to preserve, restore, and manage the estate of George Washington to the highest standards and to educate visitors and people throughout the world about the life and legacies of George Washington, so that his example of character and leadership will continue to inform and inspire future generations.
